Flames in red, orange, and yellow curl around the head like a hood, and the chin rests right on the horizon where the sea begins. Above the forehead a spiral of blues, greens, and a glowing orange core turns against a dark, star-flecked sky, and the fire carries down into the water in rows of yellow and orange crests. The paint is thick and built up, most of all in the flames.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: 300; margin-bottom: 20px;\"\u003eSpend a minute with it and the direction changes on you. Start from the bottom and the face is rising out of the sea, the fire lifting off the water with it, the spiral overhead opening like something just switched on. Start from the top and it runs the other way: the spiral is the source, the fire is falling around the head, and the face is sinking back into the water as everything cools. Alongside his brother James, creativity was the family language: music, theater, sculpture, set design, and mural and canvas painting, all treated as one continuous practice. He sold his first drawing in third grade and has not really stopped since.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: 300; color: #111111; line-height: 1.85; margin-bottom: 14px;\"\u003ePainting and sculpture became the throughline. He debuted his Zebra Love Collection at Art Basel Miami in 2014, made the life-size Babe Ruth sculpture now at the St. Petersburg Museum of History, and has painted large murals across Tampa Bay and New Mexico.
