Artist Spotlight: Gina Novendstern
New Perspectives, Human Form
Have you ever felt that a space could shape who you are?
Sculptor Gina Novendstern brings that idea to life. Her work pares the human form down to heads, limbs, and fragments; yet each piece bursts with emotion, story, and reflection. Every sculpture becomes a dialogue between interior and exterior worlds — between the self and the spaces we inhabit.
An Artist’s Journey Across Borders
Born in the United States and based in New York City, Gina spent pivotal years in Mexico, assisting in monumental figurative projects while developing her own artistic voice.
Her work has been celebrated internationally — from the MACAY Museum of Contemporary Art in Mérida, Mexico, to representing the United States at the National Gallery of Fine Art in the Dominican Republic. Today, her sculptures are held in museums, galleries, and private collections worldwide.
Figures in Transformation
In her studio, Gina’s figures evolve within wood, steel, and stone, often reappearing in different forms across multiple works.
By reimagining the same figure with new materials and structures, Gina expands its expressive voice — exploring how we see ourselves, how others reflect us, and how we move through the world.
Why We Love Gina’s Work
Each piece challenges perception, sparks conversation, and invites us to see the human form in a completely new way.
