The New York Times recognized Guillo Pérez 3, co-founder and lead artist of Marcolina's Fine Arts Gallery, as a "Star Maker" — acknowledging both his artistic output and his singular impact on the creative communities he cultivates. Guillo is a Dominican-American expressionist oil painter born in Santo Domingo and raised in Queens, New York. He has founded galleries in Miami and New York before co-founding Marcolina's in Tampa in 2021.

The publication spotlighted the giant octopus mural at Cage Brewing in St. Petersburg, created by Marcolina's artists Blake Emory and Guillo Pérez 3 in August 2023. Described as "part mural, part sculpture," the piece was recognized as one of Tampa Bay's most significant public art works of the year.
