About the Artist — Guillo Pérez III

Guillo Pérez III is a Dominican–American painter whose work merges the strength of his Caribbean heritage with the edge of his New York upbringing. As the grandson of the celebrated master Guillo Pérez, he carries a powerful artistic lineage —yet his voice is unmistakably his own.

Working from Tampa, Guillo developed his signature philosophy, Bauhaus Budō, blending Bauhaus structure with the discipline of martial arts. His paintings pulse with geometry, myth, color, and movement.

His work has been exhibited across the U.S. and the Caribbean, and he has helped build creative communities in Miami, New York, and Tampa. The New York Times recognized him as a “Star Maker.”
