Artist Spotlight: Gabrielle Perez

Marcolina’s Fine Arts Gallery is proud to present Gabrielle Pérez as the headlining artist of Untamed, now on view. A passionate Dominican visual artist born in Santo Domingo in 1989, Gabrielle has dedicated her life to painting, education, and artistic expression. Raised in a family of creatives, she studied at Galería Guillo Pérez, founded by her grandfather Guillo Pérez and directed by her father, Willy Pérez. For over a decade, she has shared her expertise as a drawing and painting instructor, shaping the next generation of artists. With more than 20 exhibitions to her name, Gabrielle’s work is proof of her deep connection to color, form, and storytelling.

Her paintings are a vivid fusion of surrealism and tradition, drawing inspiration from the Dominican countryside, femininity, and the cycles of nature. Through bold colors, fluid compositions, and elaborate details, she transforms everyday agricultural landscapes into dreamlike spaces that feel both intimate and universal.

At the heart of her showcase is “Secreto en el Platanal”, a piece that embodies the essence of Untamed. It takes viewers into a world of lush plantain fields, rich earth, and the quiet hum of life. Through vigorous brushstrokes and radiant hues, Gabrielle captures the serenity and power of nature, reminding us of its timeless presence and the quiet certainty that nature will always reclaim its space.

As the headlining artist of Untamed, Gabrielle brings a powerful voice to the exhibition’s themes of freedom, strength, and vulnerability. Marcolina’s is honored to showcase her work, creating a space where emerging and established voices come together in artistic dialogue.

Untamed is now open at Marcolina’s Fine Arts Gallery—experience Gabrielle Pérez’s extraordinary vision firsthand.

With love and gratitude, Gabrielle dedicates this exhibition to all who believe in the power of art and the beauty of sharing it.
