We’re thrilled to spotlight Ailene Fields, one of our featured artists and a celebrated New York-based sculptor known for her striking stone and bronze sculptures and her enchanting wearable sculpture art inspired by mythology and nature.
Ailene’s creative process is deeply spiritual. She describes sculpting not as cutting away, but as releasing the figure hidden within the stone. With every piece, she brings a sense of tranquility, mystery, and transformation. Her work invites not just admiration, but emotion.
Her sculptures explore themes of mythology, transformation, and hope. Whether it’s a bronze creature inspired by ancient legends or a wearable art piece designed to be both meaningful and beautiful, Ailene’s creations are grounded in her belief that art should uplift and endure.
In addition to her studio practice, Ailene recently co-founded the Skylands Museum of Art in New Jersey with her husband David. The museum is a new creative destination focused on connecting people to peace and purpose through art. Her sculptures have also been featured at prestigious venues such as Hudson Yards in New York City.
