Rooster Fight — Guillo Perez III
Rooster Fight by Guillo Perez III is a striking oil painting that captures the raw energy of two roosters in combat. Unlike Perez's more intricate works, this piece embodies a minimalist approach, where each stroke carries strength and every color is applied with precise intent, creating maximum impact with simplicity.
"Rooster Fight is a distilled expression of force, rhythm, and presence, showing that simplicity can convey power as strongly as complexity." – Guillo Perez III
The turquoise and white background amplifies the movement and tension between the roosters, while bold yet minimalistic brushwork conveys both drama and clarity. This artwork demonstrates Perez's ability to condense his signature expressive style into a powerful, refined composition, offering a unique glimpse into a minimalist interpretation of his artistic voice.

About the Artist — Guillo Pérez III
Guillo Pérez III is a Dominican–American painter whose work merges the strength of his Caribbean heritage with the edge of his New York upbringing. As the grandson of the celebrated master Guillo Pérez, he carries a powerful artistic lineage —yet his voice is unmistakably his own.
Working from Tampa, Guillo developed his signature philosophy, Bauhaus Budō, blending Bauhaus structure with the discipline of martial arts. His paintings pulse with geometry, myth, color, and movement.
His work has been exhibited across the U.S. and the Caribbean, and he has helped build creative communities in Miami, New York, and Tampa. The New York Times recognized him as a “Star Maker.”
