Sun and Moon — Guillo Perez III
Sun and Moon by Guillo Pérez III is an acrylic on canvas painting that reimagines South Tampa’s modern Victorian homes through bold, untraditional color and contemporary composition. A pink house and a turquoise house stand like celestial counterparts—warm and cool, sun and moon—framed by towering palm trees that anchor the scene in Florida’s tropical identity.
"Color lets architecture speak. These aren’t just houses—they’re characters in a Florida story. I wanted the palette to feel alive, like the heat, the sky, and the rhythm of the coast." – Guillo Pérez III
With vibrant tones of orange, yellow, violet, green, and blue, Pérez transforms familiar residential architecture into a modern visual narrative. The clean lines, intentional color play, and coastal energy reflect his signature approach: taking the ordinary and elevating it into something poetic, graphic, and distinctly Floridian.

About the Artist — Guillo Pérez III
Guillo Pérez III is a Dominican–American painter whose work merges the strength of his Caribbean heritage with the edge of his New York upbringing. As the grandson of celebrated master Guillo Pérez, he carries a powerful artistic lineage—yet his visual voice is entirely his own.
Working from Tampa, Guillo developed his signature philosophy, Bauhaus Budō, blending Bauhaus structure with the discipline of martial arts. His paintings pulse with geometry, myth, color, and movement.
His work has been exhibited across the U.S. and the Caribbean, and he has helped build creative communities in Miami, New York, and Tampa. The New York Times recognized him as a “Star Maker.”
