Collection: AXIOMATIC

Featuring works by Willy Perez, Guillo Perez III, and Blake Emory
At Marcolina’s Fine Arts Gallery

Axiomatic brings together the uncompromising visions of three boundary-pushing artists, Willy Perez, Guillo Perez III, and Blake Emory, in a bold interrogation of what is assumed, declared, and left unsaid in visual language.

Axiomatic unfolds as a meditation on the visual truths we accept—and those we dare to question. This bold group exhibition brings together three artists, charting a dynamic dialogue between established and emergent works, some celebrated in past exhibitions, others revealed here for the first time.

At the core of the show lies a tension between certainty and interpretation. The title itself: Axiomatic, suggests a premise taken as truth. But in the hands of these three artists, even self-evident truths become subject to aesthetic disruption.

  • Willy Perez’s layered abstractions suggest philosophical rigor and emotional restraint, guiding the viewer through a language of gesture, silence, and chromatic balance.
  • Guillo Perez III presents a powerful meditation on resilience and reckoning through works like Bombing of Mariupol, Hope, and Crossing the Delaware. By merging historical narratives with contemporary urgency, his paintings traverse the emotional terrain of war, survival, and collective memory, each painting questioning the stories we inherit and the ones we choose to tell.
  • Blake Emory, in a departure from earlier series, reveals works grounded in materiality, texture, and architectural rhythm, each piece a quiet assertion of form stripped to essence, first explored in his In Person debut.

Together, their works challenge the viewer to confront what is given, assumed, and often overlooked. Axiomatic is not just an exhibition, it is a proposition: that art’s most radical gesture is to make us see what we thought we already knew.
